black diamondThe Town of Black Diamond has partnered with Alberta Acts on Climate Change to move their sustainability plan forward.

The Town of Black Diamond has partnered with Alberta Acts on Climate Change to host two open forum dialogues focusing on moving the Black Diamond Sustainability Plan forward, and creating an action plan for climate change solutions in the community.

Join Black Diamond Mayor Sharlene Brown and the Black Diamond Sustainability Committee in charting out a detailed plan for moving your community forward!

Community members of all ages from Black Diamond and the surrounding area are invited to take part.

Part I: Understanding the Sustainability Plan & Setting Priorities

Both sessions located at: Griffith Memorial Centre, 126 Government Road South

Registration is free but required to attend. Lunch and childcare will be provided.   

The April 24th Forum for the Future includes a tour of Black Diamond's sustainability successes:

  • The renewable energy-powered Oilfields Regional Arena
  • The Diamond Valley Community Garden

Black Diamond Sustainability Committee

After the first Black Diamond Forum for the Future on March 20, participants toured the Diamond Valley Community Garden

The next meeting with the Black Diamond Sustainability Committee is scheduled for March April 19, 2010 at 7pm in the Black Diamond Municipal Office.
