I also appreciated what Gary Holden had to say about looking at the "true costs" of all energy: the emissions, the wasted energy (the percentage of energy actually produced versus the efficiency of using that material to make that energy), and the line losses that these mega power plants engender - because they are so very far from the end users.
I was very excited by all the initiatives undertaken by participating municipalities to be energy efficient and to be exploring alternative energy. They are a real model for the rest of us to follow!
