Citizens Advocating Use of Sustainable Energy looked quite a bit at nuclear subsidies, and found that the annual federal subsidy to AECL from 1952 to 2002 averages out to about 350 million dollars a year (in 2002 dollars).
No surprise, then, that in 2009 the Canada Economic Action Plan gave another $351 million for nuclear power (and $850 million to CCS), yet the 360 page document doesn't even contain the word "renewable".
