Born in the Yukon, and raised on a traditional sailing schooner on Vancouver Island, Lindsay Humber has been connected to nature from a very young age. Since moving to Calgary, Lindsay has become a backcountry enthusiast who welcomes every opportunity to explore the mountains in Calgary's backyard. It is this love for nature, combined with her background in anthropology, that fuels her interest in climate change.
Lindsay Humber is now writing her thesis for her master of environmental design at the University of Calgary. Her thesis focuses on water management in the Calgary Region, which is directly affected by a changing climate. She is an outreach coordinator with Alberta Acts on Climate Change with a focus on community engagement and supporting the March 12 video conference.
